Nicholas, at first I would like to say thank you very much for being part of this “Gimme 5 Special: Bass Player”! Here we go:

In which age did the music „catch“ you, and when did you start to play an instrument?
My mother always told me a story about how she would play the  Rolling Stones  while she was pregnant with me and I used to start kicking her in time to the bass. I guess you could say I came out with music already on my mind haha. From there I was always picking up toy guitars and pretending to play until I was old enough for the real thing.

Did you choose the bass guitar as your instrument right away or did you check out one or more other ones at first?
I got a drum kit when I was about five or six. I quickly realized it wasn't the instrument for me. My hands are coordinated enough but once you add the feet in there it's just a mess. I started playing guitar around age eleven and dabbled back and forth between guitar and bass in my early teens. There was always just something about the bass that gelled with me. I felt a real connection with the instrument, it felt natural. I decided to dedicate myself solely to the bass and haven't looked back since.

How many bass guitars do you own, and which model is your favourite generally?
I play Fender basses mostly. I have a Geddy Lee signature series Jazz Bass which is my main instrument for live shows. I also have a Jaguar bass as a backup. I have a few others lying around but I love the unbeatable tone and classic look and feel of a Fender. They're also really versatile, you can use them for just about any type of music.

What do you think: is it a must for a bass player to have an especially hot sense of rhythm in his/her blood to deliver an ideal job? ;-)
Absolutely. Rhythm, timing, feel, these are all things that make an amazing bass player. All other technical stuff can be learned over time, but to have that inner meter inside of you, in the blood as you say it, is the mark of a true great.

What is on the plan for you and  All Hail The Yeti  in the next weeks/months?
We are getting ready to kick off a US tour with  Hollywood Undead  and  Escape The Fate. We've also been working on material for our next album.

Thanks for your time. We wish you and your band mates all the best!
Thank you for the constant love and support!
